Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, you can. While our programs primarily accept graduates of Physics and Physics Education, graduates from other fields such as Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, as well as from engineering disciplines including Electrical-Electronics, Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, and Biomedical Engineering, are also eligible to apply. Candidates admitted from non-Physics backgrounds are placed in the Scientific Preparation program.

Applicants to master’s programs must either hold a bachelor’s degree or be in the final semester of their undergraduate studies in order to be conditionally accepted. (Graduation documents must be submitted at the time of final registration.)

Applicants who wish to apply to our university’s graduate programs must create a “new account” on the application system announced in the announcements section of our university’s website. They should then enter the required information step by step in the relevant sections and upload the required documents in PDF or JPEG format to the system via the application screen.

Applications are to be completed entirely online. Only candidates who are granted final admission must submit their documents to the respective institutes on the registration dates. For master’s programs, the evaluation score is calculated as follows: 50% ALES score, 20% undergraduate transcript GPA, 20% professional knowledge exam score, and 10% interview score.
For doctoral programs, the evaluation score is calculated as follows: 50% ALES score, 20% undergraduate transcript GPA, 15% professional knowledge exam score, and 15% interview score.

For admission to a master’s program, the minimum required ALES and YDS scores are 60. For admission to a doctoral program, the minimum required ALES score is 70 and the YDS score is 60. Applicants applying directly to a doctoral program with only a bachelor’s degree must have a minimum ALES score of 80.

The language of instruction in our master’s and doctoral programs is English. The curricula of both programs consist of 100% English courses.
